Chasing the wild goose

Let's say you want example.com to redirect to www.example.com. This is what you do.

1. Put "example.com" in the "from" field and "www.example.com" in the "to" field.
2. Tell your DNS provider to make an A record pointing example.com to "108.174.51.19". (For directions, search for "A record [your host's name]".)
3. Wait a couple days for the DNS information to propogate.

After that, example.com will be forwarded to www.example.com.
